For the final stages of spring, we’re bringing in the lush watercolors and vision of space, landscape and fluidity from Stephen Gilbert. Stephen studied Painting and Graphic design at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, Cornish and Seattle Pacific University.
Stephen works primarily in watercolor; juxtapositioning multifaceted color and mystical traditions. His paintings have been juried into and won local competitions; most recently the Pacific Northwest Fine Arts Exhibition. He has participated in exhibitions at Gage Academy’s Steele Gallery, Phinney Ridge Gallery and was the featured artist at Living Sensual of Capitol Hill and Theatre Smeatre in Belltown.
Stephen is a frequent curator at BallardWorks for the Ballard Art Walk. You can visit him in his studio at BallardWorks the second Saturday night of each month or come by EVOLVE through the end of June to see his work.
